Bugs "rock"!

Our bug research is complete and we did a great job! Each of us is bringing home our painted rock to share with our family.  Students did a wonderful job of recreating a realistic, detailed drawing of their chosen insect and each of the rocks has been sealed (by Mme Janet, not students) so that it is weather proof.

On the bottom of each rock is a QR code to be scanned.  When the QR code is scanned, it will link the viewer with a slideshow of our bug research posters!  For example, all the "coccinelle"/ladybug rocks will connect to a slideshow of our ladybug research posters and all the "abeille"/bee rocks will link to a slideshow of our bee research posters.  If the QR code does not connect right away, try to scan from a different angle as the rock sealer sometimes makes it more challenging to scan the QR code.

Students are invited, with their families, to take their bug rock down to the Coulee and place it in a special spot along the pathway, so that it is easily visible & we can share our bug research with the Tuscany community.  We are hoping that the Tuscany community will enjoy our painted rocks, our bug research and that everyone who notices them will fill out the survey (link at the beginning of the research slideshow) so that students can have some feedback from Tuscany on our bug research.

Remember where to find those special bug rock places in the Coulee!  Students are encouraged to return to the Coulee in June and retrieve their bug rock to take home and keep.

Our Learning  Our plants are ready to come home!  We planted seeds exactly 13 days ago and we've been observing attentively ever since...
