Our Coulee Visit

Our visit to the Coulee on Thursday, April 15th included fabulously sunny, warm weather and we quite enjoyed the afternoon as we looked for signs of spring.  We looked for community landmarks on our walk to the Coulee, before taking a turn and following the path down in between the trees.

Due to the keen eyes of our class, we identified a few key signs of spring.

We found a single crocus, our first butterfly of the season, a family of birds that provided the musical backdrop to our outing, quick running streams that are almost free of ice & snow and just a touch of green foliage.

Our Learning  Our plants are ready to come home!  We planted seeds exactly 13 days ago and we've been observing attentively ever since...
