Our class is looking for your assistance as we continue our learning adventures.
Stone Painting
As we continue our learning about insects, we will be painting a rock with our chosen insect. Each student is asked to bring in their rock to paint by Thursday, October 8th, 2020.
Rocks to be painted are requested to be a minimum of 4cm x 6cm or slightly larger and relatively flat. We will be painting our rocks after the long weekend. Please note that we will not be bringing our rocks home, but sharing them with the Tuscany community. :) (More information to come.)
Qui suis-je? / Who am I?
Now that we have spent the month of September getting to know each other and practicing our oral French skills once again, each student has brought home a paper bag in their communication folder.
Students have been asked to fill their paper bag with five (5) items that each share something important about themselves. We have discussed items that could be included in their paper bag, such as a photo, a drawing, a sports medal, a book, a special momento. Be creative! Students are asked to return their paper bag, filled with their chosen five items, by Thursday, October 8th, 2020.
* It is important that the paper bag remain blank, without any markings on the outside, as we will be asking questions to try and identify the owner of each bag of special items. *
Please note that we will be choosing one bag from the basket each day, so it could take some time before the special items return home again.
Oral Presentation - October
We are beginning monthly oral presentations in October. Presentations will take place during the last two weeks of each month. Vocabulary in our presentations each month will be chosen vocabulary that we have already been using in class during our oral literacy routines each morning.
The format information for this month's presentation, along with the schedule for presentations, will be sent home by School Messenger on Monday, October 5, 2020.
