Our Learning

Coin d'Études sociales

We have been sharing our family traditions this month, in our oral presentations in Social Studies. Students have done a great job of sharing their favourite family traditions and their excitement at the upcoming holidays & the opportunity to experience many of these traditions once again.

With each family tradition, students have been bringing in an artifact to display in our portable gallery.  Mme Lisa's class, Mme Ireland's class and our class will each roll our gallery into the hallway for the last day before the winter break, so that each class is able to do a separate Gallery Walk.

Our class has shared many special artifacts from a Christmas story book that has been shared through the generations to Tim's hot chocolate on family outings to memories preserved in the form of a Christmas tree decoration.  We look forward to sharing in our partner classes' traditions and artifacts!

We are also exploring magnetism as we begin to recognize magnets in our day to day environment.  It is also important to identify where not to put magnets.  :)

Our Learning  Our plants are ready to come home!  We planted seeds exactly 13 days ago and we've been observing attentively ever since...
