We used our 50/100 chart and our skip counting skills to help us identify "even" numbers when we start at two. By using our unit blocks and our ten frames, we realized that we can always split an "even" number into two equal groups.
We realized that if we do the same task and start at one, we will find all our "odd" numbers. When we try to split an "odd" number into equal groups, we always end up with one left over.
We also found patterns in our learning about "even" and "odd numbers!
