As students have begun conversations around showing appreciation towards themselves, we have begun an exploration of "Qui suis-je?". 

There have been many, many elements to creating this art - all about us!  We started by listening to several different styles of classical music and creating wax designs on our page inspired by the current music.   A colour wash was added on top of the wax crayon designs.  

We also composed a list of all the questions that we could think of that would share the thoughts & ideas in our brains - all of which help to make us who we are! Our sentence starters included everything from how old we are, what we are curious about in the world, what makes us happy, what we would like to do to change the world, to our favourite foods & colours.  In the end, we had three chart sized pages of possible sentence starters to complete & share on our own page and students were encouraged to choose the sentence starters that fit them best.  

We have created twenty-one one-of-a-kind art tableaux!
